7. MAINTENANCE AND
REPLACEABLE PARTS
General Maintenance
WARNING: REPAIRS OR SERVICING NOT
COVERED IN THIS MANUAL SHOULD ONLY
BE PREFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK, DO NOT
SERVICE UNLESS YOU ARE QUALIFIED TO
DO SO.
Periodically wipe the case with a damp
cloth and detergent; do not use abrasives
or solvents.
Calibrate this Meter once a year to
maintain its performance specifications.
7.2. Battery and fuse replacement.
WARNING: TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK,
BE SURE TO TURN OFF THE METER’S
POWER AND NOT ONLY BOTH TEST LEADS
MUST BE DISCONNECTED FROM ANY
EQUIPMENT BUT ALSO WITH THE CLAMP
NO CONDUCTORS SHALL BE CLAMPED FOR
MEASUREMENTS BEFORE YOU REMOVE OR
INSTALL BATTERIES.
The Meter uses a 9V battery (NEDA 1604
or 006P 6F 22). To replace the battery and
fuse, remove the screw of the battery
compartment from the back of the Meter
and lift off the cover of the compartment.
Replace the battery and fuse. Reattach the
battery compartment cover to the back of
the Meter, and reinstall the screw.
