Service Intervals
Break-in
All bikes go through a normal break-in period. Your bike will last longer and work better if you break it in before riding it hard.
We recommend all riders get a quick tune-up one month after purchase so that the dealer can adjust cables and other key parts.
Maintenance schedule
Your bike needs a regular tune-up by a qualified bike mechanic. Below is our recommended tune-up frequency based on how often you
ride, and under what conditions.
HEAVY RIDER
Tune-Up Frequency
Monthly
Rides 25 km (15 mi) or more
daily
Rides in all weather conditions
Rides on roads with bumps
and/or potholes
Carries 105 kg (230 lb) or less
on the bike, including rider’s
weight
FREQUENT RIDER
Tune-Up Frequency
Bi-Monthly
Rides 3 or 4 times a week or
an average of 100 km (62 mi)
per week
Sometimes rides in wet
weather
Rides on roads with bumps
and/or potholes
Carries 105 kg (230 lb) or less
on the bike, including rider’s
weight
RECREATIONAL RIDER
Tune-Up Frequency
Quarterly
Rides once or twice a week
Rides in dry weather or
occasional light rain
Always rides on smooth
