II. INSTALLATION
Suggestions for Installation
1) ECR should not be installed in extremely hot or cold places exposed to direct sunlight for extended period of
time, or places where ECR may come into contact with excessive dust or liquid.
2) Use the specified power supply according to ECR models. Do not connect with other machines which may
cause electricity line noise.
Check the following
before using ECR
1) The required peripheral(s) has (have) been connected to the correct interface connector(s).
2) The power plug is connected to the AC outlet.
3) The control key is turned to the appropriate position.
4) Proper number of paper roll(s) is (are) fitted.
Other Notes
1)
Validation Cover
In order to issue a validation by SX-6600, cut a rib to make a
slot for validation.
- Open the journal window.
- Remove the validation cover.
- Cut the rib.
2)
Card Reader
The swiping direction of card reader is from rear to front (the
magnetic stripe of the card should face down).
3)
Interface Cover
Before connecting any cables, the backside cover must be removed. Pull down the interface cover in the
direction of the arrows while pressing the upper hooks (see circles below) on the both sides.
If the cover is
pulled up, the hooks will break.
After cables are connected, the cover
must be surely placed again to protect
ECR from electronic static.
When you connect / disconnect the
cable to peripheral, make sure that
the power is "OFF".
