The Pedelec Shimano Steps E8000
Your Pedelec Shimano Steps E8000 is an EPAC (electrically power assisted
cycle). When the assist mode is switched on, the electric motor provides
assistance as long as you are pedalling. You can control the degree of
assistance, which is adjusted using various assist modes

. The drive assistance is dependent on the force
and speed of your pedalling and the speed you are travelling. Motor assist
stops as soon as you stop pedalling and when the battery is discharged
or if you reach a speed of 25 km/h. So pedalling harder is required if you
want to travel faster than 25 km/h.
