2. T h e workpieces h a v e v e r y narrow " p l a s t i c zones" such a s copper.
The Unibond I I maintains Constant Power a s i l l u s t r a t e d i n Figure 7 . T h e
c i r c u i t r y o f t h e Unibond I I i s so unique t h a t U n i t e k has a p p l i e d f o r a p a t e n t . I n
the VOLTAGE + CURRENT Mode. t h e Unibond I I w i l l dynamically increase o r reduce t h e
amplitude o f t h e welding pulse i n an e f f o r t t o m a i n t a i n a constant v o l t a g e - c u r r e n t
product, c o n s t a n t power. a t t h e e l e c t r o d e s .

a r a d i c a l change i n l o a d r e s i s t a n c e . t h e Unibond w i l l a u t o m a t i c a l l y t e r m i n a t e t h e o u t -
put pulse p r i o r t o t h e t i m e p r e s e t on t h e PULSE DURATION Thumbwheels and i l l u m i n a t e
the OVERLOAD INDICATOR. A n y attempt t o f i r e t h e Unibond b e f o r e t h e Output Transformer
has been r e s e t by t h e Unibond, w i l l a l s o i l l u m i n a t e t h e OVERLOAD INDICATOR.
