Troubleshooting

Changing the Digital Security Code

The digital security code is an identification code used to connect the handset and the base. Your unit ships from the 

manufacturer.with.a.preset.security.code..Resetting.this.code.is.not.normally.necessary..In.the.rare.situation.that.you.

suspect.another.cordless.telephone.is.using.the.same.security.code.or.if.you.are.instructed.to.change.this.code.by.a.

manufacturer’s.Call.Center.Representative,.you.can.change.the.code..To.change.the.digital.security.code:

Reset.all.of.your.handsets.
Register.each.handset.

To.reset.the.handset:

Press.and.hold.

Select.DEREGISTER.HS..Select.the.handset.which.you.are.operating,.then.press.

The.phone.will.ask.you.to.confirm.the.deregistration..Select.YES..The.handset.will.clear.its.registration.

information.from.the.base,.and.then.delete.the.link.to.the.base.from.its.own.memory.
When.the.base.information.is.deleted,.the.handset.displays.HANDSET.NOT.REGISTERED-PLACE.HANDSET.

ON.BASE.TO.REGISTER..SEE.YOUR.OWNER'S.MANUAL.FOR.HELP.

If.the.handset.cannot.contact.the.base,.it.will.display.OUT.OF.RANGE..Make.sure.the.handset.is.in.range.of.the.

base.and.the.base.is.connected.to.power.

To.register.the.handset:

Place.the.handset.in.the.telephone.base.charging.cradle.to.begin.registration.
During.the.registration.process,.HANDSET.REGISTERING.will.appear.in.the.LCD..When.REGISTRATION.

COMPLETE.is.displayed,.the.handset.has.been.registered.to.the.base.
