HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
The product is classified as being IRRITANT; those materials listed above as Harmful or Corrosive are present at levels low enough to ensure
that the formulated product is classed as ‘Irritant’.
STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
Stable under normal conditions of use and storage. If involved in a fire, will generate sooty deposits plus the oxides of carbon and nitrogen.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Store between 0 and 30° C in the containers provided and replace closure after use. Do not mix with other chemicals. Wear safety glasses
and gloves when handling neat or dilutes product. If the diluted product is sprayed in significant quantities or used through a high pressure
washer, then also wear a waterproof suit and rubber boots.
FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye Protection
Wear splash-proof eye goggles to prevent any possibility of eye contact.
Skin Protection
No specific hand protection noted, but gloves may still be advisable.
Respiratory Protection
Not Required. Normal room ventilation is adequate.
EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Wear rubber gloves and safety glasses when handling the neat or diluted product.
Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs):
Sodium metasilicate as a dry powder has been allocated an STEL of 2mg/cubic metre.
The product contains ~2%w/w of this material in aqueous solution.
FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Non-flammable and will not support combustion. If drums are involved in a fire, then spray with water to cool.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Contain spillage and absorb onto dry earth, sand or granules. Scrape up and place into suitable plastic containers. Flush the affected area
with water.
DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
For the disposal of large quantities, consult the local authority for advice; Small amounts may be disposed of via the foul sewer where it will
be successfully treated by the local water treatment plant. Do not allow product to enter the surface drainage system.
TOXICOLIGICAL INFORMATION
Contact with eyes
Causes irritation, redness and watering.
Contact with skin
Prolonged contact causes dryness and irritation due to loss of natural skin oils.
Ingested
Will cause soreness to mouth and throat. May cause an upset stomach.
Inhaled
If mist or spray is inhaled, will cause irritation of mouth, nose and throat.

The preparation requires a formal COSHH assessment which should ensure that employees are aware of hazards/precautions detailed in this
date sheet. The COSHH assessment should also ensure that recommended safety equipment is available and, where applicable, the
exposure limits detailed under exposure controls are not being exceeded.

This is a safe, general purpose hard surface cleaner with a wide area of applications. Used at between 1 – 10% w/w depending upon degree
of soiling.
