Migration to u-blox
-
6 receivers
Migrating ANTARIS
®
4 and u-blox 5 designs to a u-blox 6 receiver module is a fairly straightforward procedure.
Nevertheless there are some points to be considered during the migration.
Not all of the functionalities available with ANTARIS
®
4 are supported by u-blox 6. These include:
RTCM is supported in FW7.0x but not in ROM6.02 and FW6.02 versions.
UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator Projection)

Checklist for migration
Have you chosen the optimal module?
For best GPS performance (i.e. better sensitivity level and acquisition time) select a LEA-6H, LEA-6S, NEO-
6Q or NEO-6G for the advantage of TCXO performance.
If TCXO performance is not required, choose a LEA-6A or NEO-6M.
For active antenna applications, choose a LEA-6H, LEA-6S or LEA-6A, since an antenna supply circuit is
already built in or see
For the ability to upgrade the firmware, choose a LEA-6H.
For precision timing choose a LEA-6T or NEO-6T
For dead reckoning choose a LEA-6R
