PROPER FIT
1. Center the belt in the small of back and pull the inside belt
layer over the abdomen, overlapping from left to right.
(See Figure 1)
2. Grip both ends of the outer belt layer. (See Figure 2)
3. Pull outer belt over the abdomen, overlapping from left to
right. The belt should feel snug and comfortable around
waist. (See Figure 3)
NOTE: The belt should not restrict normal breathing, yet
must be tight enough to provide adequate pressure.
The suspenders are attached to the belt with break-
away clips and can be detached in an emergency.
SAFE LIFTINg
CAUTION! Do no lift more weight than can be handled
without the use of a back support belt. The use of a
back support belt does not ensure more weight can
be lifted.
1. Size up the load weight before attempting to lift.
2. Establish a firm footing to ensure proper balance and a
stable lifting base.
3. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart with one foot slightly
forward. Keep back straight, upright and perpendicular to
the ground.
4. Always bend at the knees. Slowly lower, always keeping
back straight.
5. Tighten abdominal muscles and lift, letting legs do the work.
6. Keep load close to body. If necessary, turn with feet first and
let body follow. Never turn at torso.
