INTRODUCTION
The Advent xt printer records the time and date of all calls made/answered/cancelled on the
warden call system. All other system activity such as telephone line fault, mains fail, system reset,
etc. is also recorded.
PUSHBUTTON
The pushbutton performs several functions; click once to turn the printer on, press and hold for
paper feed when changing paper rolls or double-click to perform a self test and print the internal
settings.
LED INDICATOR
The LED indicator on the front of the printer will normally flash short green - long orange, there are
a number of other colour combinations which provide printer status information;

The printer will enter Spool Mode if the paper runs out, the paper compartment flap is up or an
error has occurred. Data will be buffered for printing when the condition is rectified.
BATTERY STANDBY
If the mains supply is disconnected the LED will be steady green for a preprogrammed time until
the printer enters sleep mode. When the mains supply is restored click the pushbutton to return to
standby mode and any missed calls will be printed.
