Introduction
The 1081 and 1082 Twintec ® Twin Technology Detectors are indoor motion
detectors for use with wired intruder alarm systems and are suitable for all
industrial applications.
Both detectors combine Microwave and Passive Infra Red (PIR) technologies
in a single small detector. However, the 1081 detector is designed for wide
angle applications, while the1082 detector is designed for long range (Corri-
dor) applications.
Twintec is Microprocessor based and uses digital signal processing tech-
niques. These, combined with Energy/Frequency analysis on PIR channel
and M.E.V. (Multi Event Verification) on microwave channel, give optimum
reliability with maximum performance.
Complete shielding of the electronic circuitry reduces false alarms caused by
RFI. Optical and software filters reduce false alarms caused by white light
and fluorescent lighting. The range of the microwave sensor on both detec-
tors may be selected to limit coverage to the area requiring protection.
Two sets of relay contacts are provided. The alarm contacts are Single Pole
Change-over in alarm (NO/C/NC) and the tamper contacts are closed with
the cover on. The detectors also provide a Remote LED Enable/Disable
function, which, if held high, will inhibit the operation of the alarm LED in the
Day mode unless a 0V supply is applied to terminal 7 on the pcb terminal
block (via a switch or automatically applied from the control panel Walk Test+
output).
The detectors use microstrip technology for microwave detection, together
with an integral look-down mirror and facilities for accurate beam location.
Technical Specification
The 1081 and 1082 detectors comprise a grey textured ABS base housing
the metallic shielded printed circuit board and a cover assembly housing the
white light filter. A separate ABS lens carrier assembly is designed to clip
over the pcb metallic base and slide down for accurate zone location with the
cover removed.
Supply Voltage
8-15VDC.
Current
20mA.
Relay Output
SPCO, 30V, 100mA dc. Change-over in alarm with
22 ohm resistor in series.
Tamper Output
SPST, 30V, 100mA
