Firmware Upgrade
Firmware
is the combination of persistent memory and program code and data stored in it.
Firmware such as the program of an embedded system may be the only program that will run on
the system and provide all of its functions. Common reasons for updating firmware include fixing
bugs or adding features to the device. Here is the procedure to upgrade the firmware of TwinTAB.
Requirements
To upgrade the firmware if the TwinTAB-T102D1 the basic requirements are as bellow-
a.
TwinTAB Compatible Firmware file [available on
www.twinmos.com
to free download]
b.
Rockchip Device Manager Tools [available on
www.twinmos.com
to free download]
c.
Windows based PC/Laptop [Windows XP is recommended]
Precautions
During this upgrade all your data on the tablet will destroy permanently. So, before execute this
upgrade its better practice to take backup for all the important and necessary data. There is some
other important issues may help to upgrade the firmware successfully-
a.
Before the upgrading, please make sure the device has at least 1/4 of battery charged.
b.
4GB microSDHC memory card is required.
c.
During upgrading, install the driver automatically when system requires.
d.
All the data will be erased after the upgrade/restoring. Please keep backup all the data
before upgrading/restoring.
e.
Wrong version of firmware will cause malfunction in the device or totally unworkable.
