Place the sampling tube into the purge gas to be sampled. The HPM is
designed to sample the purge gas and is not designed to be the gas
exhaust port for all the purging gas.
Over pressuring the HPM will
cause errors in the O2 readings!
Press the ‘Down’ button to start the sampling process.
When the required sampling of the purge gas is complete, the sampling
tube should be removed from the purge gas and the sampling stopped on
the HPM.
Press the ‘Down’ button.
NB: The HPM has a built-in non-user serviceable filter to protect the
sensors. If the HPM is used in an environment where dust or other
fine particle contaminates could enter the sampling tube, an external
magnetic filter should be used. Cleanable filters are available from
TVC.

Dew Point / Moisture Option
When purchased, an additional sensor for the inline measurement of the
Purging Gas Dew Point and moisture volume is fitted in the HPM sensor
block, this can be fitted to either the HPM-01 or HPM-02 base units.
On initial switch on the fitment of the Dew Point/Moisture option is
identified by the ‘-H’ after the HPM model.
When sampling is started the Dew Point, in Degrees C, and Moisture in
Parts Per Million (PPM) are both displayed on the HPM screen below the
O2 reading.
