7.3 NTSC – PAL Version
The DV-1394 Pro SDI is available in a PAL and NTSC Version.
This PAL/NTSC difference in the DV-1394 pro SDI is only relevant if you work with a PC
System. If you just transcode Video signals from a Betacam (or other VTR) to a DV VTR
or vice versa it does not matter which version you are using. You can switch the video
system in the Menu (see Menu Structure). If you work with a PC NLE system you’ll have
to set a jumper on the DV Codec in the DV-1394 Pro SDI. This jumper is closed if it is a
PAL Version. The jumper is located at the bottom of the DV Codec board.
