Your PX1 package should include the following items:
·
Ear Force
®
X
 gaming headphones
·
Audio Advantage
®
Amigo USB sound card
·
3.5mm to RCA piggyback extender cable
How It Works
After configuring your PS and PX according to the instructions below,
you’ll be able to use the X headphones to enjoy stereo game sound along
with on-line chat. Here’s how it works:
·
The game sound plays on the X headphones, which are connected to
the PS stereo outputs.
·
The X
microphone signal is connected to the Amigo‘s microphone
input, which lets you chat on-line by sending the microphone sound
to the PS via the USB connection.
·
Chat from on-line players goes to the PS audio outputs and is mixed
with the game audio, so you can hear the voice of teammates on the
X
headphones along with the game audio.
·
The X
headphones and your TV or sound system are connected si-
multaneously. To listen with just the headphones, just turn down the
TV or sound system.
·
The X
cable is about 16 feet long, giving you plenty of room to move
around while playing.
When not using the PX with your PS, the Ear Force X can be used with
a PC or an XBOX
®
60 and the Amigo can be used as a USB sound card on
your PC or laptop, as described in a later section of this User Guide.

Amigo
1. Remove the protective cap on
the Amigo. Insert the Amigo
into a USB port on the front of
the PS.
2. Insert the X USB power
connector into a second USB
port on the PS. This USB
connection is used for power
only, no data is transferred to
the X headphones. When the
X has power, the LED on the
X amplifier will light green (or
red if the mic switch is in the
MUTE position).
3. Insert the pink X jack into the
gold color microphone jack on
the Amigo.
4. Insert the green plug on the
X cable into the green socket
on the 3.5mm to RCA X1 splitter
cable.
5. Unplug the PS Red and White
RCA plugs from the TV (or from
your sound system, if that’s
what you’re using instead of a
TV to hear PS sound).
6. Insert the red and white RCA
plugs on the X cable into the
TV connectors from which you
removed the PS RCA plugs.
Insert the PS RCA plugs into
the back of the X RCA jacks
so the PS and the X are both
plugged into the TV audio.
Connecting the PS3
Here’s how to connect the Amigo and X to your PS and sound system.
Follow these steps BEFORE powering on the PS.
