Operation
Push the lever forward to start the seed flow and pull
it rearward to stop the seed flow.
Park Brake Lever
Located on the lower rear panel by the LH rear tire.
The brake lever engages the park brake on the
transmission so the drive tires do not rotate.
To engage the park brake, pull up on the lever, pull
out until the two washers are outside the frame, and
push the lever down into the slot.
To disengage the park brake, pull up on the lever,
push it in until the two washers are inside the frame,
and push the lever down into the slot.

When parking on a steep slope, the wheels must be
chocked or blocked in addition to the brake being
engaged. The unit must be tied down and brake
engaged when transporting.
Drive Wheel Release Lever
Located on the lower rear panel to the right of the
park brake lever.
The drive wheel release lever is used to release the
hydrostatic drive system to allow the machine to be
moved by hand without the engine running.
For normal operating position, pull up on the handle
and push the handle in until all three notches are
inside the frame.
Note:
The last notch on the handle does not latch
on the slot.
To release the drive wheels, pull up on the handle,
pull it out until the last notch engages in the slot.
Push the handle down.

Before Operation
Before Operation Safety
•
Evaluate the terrain to determine what accessories
and attachments are needed to properly and
safely perform the job. Only use accessories and
attachments approved by Z Turf Equipment.
•
Inspect the area where the machine is to be used
and remove all rocks, toys, sticks, wires, bones,
and other foreign objects. These can be thrown
or interfere with the operation of the machine
and may cause personal injury to the operator or
bystanders.
•
Mark and avoid hidden objects such as sprinkler
heads, underground wires/cables, invisible fences,
etc. to prevent damage to these systems.
•
This machine was designed for one operator only.
Do Not carry passengers.
•
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
such as safety glasses, long pants, substantial
slip-resistant footwear, and hearing protection.
Tie back long hair and avoid loose clothing and
loose jewelry which may get tangled in moving
parts.
•
This machine produces sound levels in excess of
85 dBA at the operator’s ear and can cause hearing
