Using the camera
This chapter explains the most common operations, such as taking photographs,
taking photographs using the automatic exposure function, viewing photographs,
recording video clips and deleting photographs and video clips.
6.1
Inserting a memory card (not included)
The Trust 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM has a 16 MB internal memory. This
memory can be extended with a SD or MMC memory card (not included).
Follow the instructions given below to insert the optional SD/MMC memory card into
the camera.
1.
Open the camera’s battery flap by sliding it downwards.
2.
Insert the SD or MMC memory card into the slot as shown inside the camera
by the slot. The memory card can only be inserted one way.
3.
Press the SD or MMC memory card fully into the camera and then close the
flap. Open the flap and press the memory card if you wish to remove it.
Note:
There is only one way to insert the SD/MMC memory card into
the slot. Do not force the card into the slot. This may damage
both the camera and the SD/MMC memory card.
Note:
The SD/MMC memory card must be formatted before taking
photographs. See the following chapters for more information.
6.2
Formatting the memory
If you use a SD or MMC memory card, it must first be formatted before you can take
photographs. Follow the instructions given below to do this.
1.
Insert the memory card into your camera as described in chapter 6.1.
2.
Turn the camera on by sliding the button (2, figure 1) open so that the lens is
visible.
3.
Use the multiselect button (3, figure 2) to select the
SET
option.
4.
Press the menu button’s right arrow button (7, figure 2) until the OPTION
menu appears on the LCD screen.
5.
The default option is ‘Format’. Select this option by pressing the menu
button’s middle button (6, figure 2).
6.
Use the menu button’s up arrow button (7, figure 2) and then press the middle
button (6, figure 2) to confirm the setting with ‘OK’.
7.
An hourglass will appear on the LCD screen. It will disappear once the
memory has been formatted.
6.3
Setting the resolution
The camera can be set to four different resolutions. Besides the hardware resolution,
there is also the possibility to increase the resolution using computer software (see
chapter 9.2).
1.
Turn the camera on by sliding the button (2, figure 1) open so that the lens is
visible.
2.
Use the multiselect button (3, figure 2) to select the
SET
option.
3.
The IMAGE menu will appear on the LCD screen.
4.
The first option is ‘Resolution’. Press the menu button’s middle button (6,
figure 2).
5.
Four different resolutions will be displayed. Select the desired resolution using
the up and down arrow buttons (7, figure 2) and then press the menu button’s
middle button (6, figure 2) to confirm the selection.
