Preparing the camera for use
5.1
Inserting/removing the batteries
Follow the instructions given below to insert or remove the batteries (see figure 4).
1.
Open the battery compartment (1, figure 4) on the side of the camera by
sliding the cover slightly downwards and then flipping it open.
Comment:
Remove the empty batteries before inserting new batteries.
2.
Insert the new or full batteries as indicated on the battery flap or the battery
holder (2, figure 4).
3.
Close the battery compartment again by pushing it closed and sliding it into
place (3, figure 4).
Your camera is now ready for use.
When the camera is turned on, the battery indicator will be displayed in the bottom
right-hand corner of the LCD screen.
Note:
If the camera is turned on in the Playback mode, “No image” will flash on
the LCD screen. Set the camera to a different mode.
Note:
Inserting the batteries incorrectly may cause damage to the camera. The
warranty will then no longer be valid.
Note:
NiCd batteries are unsuitable for use with this device. It is recommended
to use NiMH batteries.
Note:
It is recommended to use NiMH (minimum 600 mAh) with this camera.
Note:
The batteries will
not
be recharged when the camera is connected to a
USB port on your computer

5.1.2
Lifespan of the batteries
The lifespan of the batteries is approximately:
Duracell Ultra:
650 photographs without using the flash, 45 minutes.
NiMH 600 mA: 110 photographs using the flash.
5.2
Inserting/removing a memory card
The Trust 735S PowerC@m Zoom has a 16 MB internal memory. The photographs
and video clips are saved in the internal memory. This memory can be extended with
an SD (Secure Digital) or an MMC (Multi Media Card) memory card. The
