4 Installing
4.1
Keyboard & mouse
Note:
The mouse does not work when a converter is used.
1.
Remove the existing keyboard and mouse software.
2.
Make sure that your computer is turned off.
3.
Remove the existing keyboard and mouse.
4.
Connect the receiver’s purple keyboard cable to the computer’s keyboard
PS/2 port.
5.
Connect the receiver’s green mouse cable to the computer’s mouse PS/2
port.
6.
Place the receiver eight inches (20 centimeters) from any electromechanical
device.
7.
Set the frequency channel on the receiver to 1 or 2. Both keyboard and
mouse may have different channels.
8.
Set the frequency channel on the keyboard and mouse exactly the same as
you have selected on the receiver. The channel switch can be found at the
bottom of the keyboard and in the battery compartment from the mouse.
9.
Switch on the computer.
10.
Establish communication between the receiver and keyboard by pressing any
key from the keyboard.
11.
Establish communication between the receiver and mouse by simply moving
the mouse.
The mouse and keyboard will now work as a standard keyboard and mouse. Before
you can take advantage of the many features your mouse and keyboard offers, you
must install the software.
4.2 Software
installation
1.
Place the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive. The Installer will start up
automatically.
If it doesn’t, do the following:
a)
Select ‘Execute’ in the Start menu.
b)
Type [D:\SETUP.EXE] and click ‘OK’ in order to start up the Trust
Software Installer.
2.
You will see a screen as in Figure 1.
3.
Click the language you wish to use during the installation.
4.
Click ‘ WIRELESS KE MOUSE 300KD ‘ in order to start up the
installation.
5.
Follow the steps onscreen.
6.
When the software installation is finished your computer reboots and the
Wireless Mouse window appears. See figure 2.
7.
Now go to chapter 5.1 to proceed installing and setting ID code.
Note:
As a example we have specified “D:\” to be the cd-rom drive, this
could be different from each computer.
5 ID
codes
Each keyboard and mouse is assigned to a unique ID code at manufacture, so the
receiver only picks up the signal from your keyboard and mouse and prevents other
Wireless keyboard or mouse radio signals from operating on your computer. There
are 255 unique codes, when you follow the procedures in the next chapters you can
connect these unique ID codes for both the mouse and keyboard. The ID codes will
