Initial use
Items supplied and transport inspection
The device is delivered with the following components as standard:

NOTICE
► Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for visible damage .
► If the items supplied are incomplete, or damaged due to defective packaging
or transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see section
Service
) .
♦ Remove the device and the operating instructions from the carton .
♦ Remove all packing material .
DANGER
► Packaging material should not be used as a play thing .
There is a risk of suffocation!
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage . The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable .
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated . Dispose of packaging material
that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations .
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner .
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary . The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics,
20–22: Paper and cardboard,
80–98: Composites

LEDs (Operating status indicators)
Loading slots for 9V blocks (loading slots 5 and 6; see fold-out page)
Loading slots for types AAA/AA/C/D (loading slots 1 to 4; see fold-out page)
