Immobiliser/Alarm Indicator Light
This Triumph motorcycle is fitted with
an engine immobiliser which is activated
when the ignition is switched off.
Without Alarm Fitted
When the ignition is switched off, the
immobiliser light will flash on and off for
24 hours to show that the engine
immobiliser is on. When the ignition is
switched on, the immobiliser and the
indicator light will be off.
If the indicator light remains on it
indicates that the immobiliser has a
malfunction that requires investigation.
Contact an authorised Triumph dealer
as soon as possible to have the fault
checked and rectified.
With Alarm Fitted
The immobiliser/alarm light will only
illuminate when the conditions
described in the genuine Triumph
accessory alarm instructions are met.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)
Warning Light
When the ignition is switched on,
it is normal that the ABS warning light
will flash on and off. The light will
continue to flash after engine start-up
until the motorcycle first reaches a
speed exceeding 6 mph (10 km/h) when
it will go off.
Note:
• Traction control will not function if
there is a malfunction with the ABS.
The warning lights for the ABS,
traction control and the MIL will be
illuminated.
The warning light should not illuminate
again until the engine is restarted
unless there is a fault, or the ABS is
switched off - the warning light will
remain illuminated.
If the warning light becomes illuminated
at any other time while riding it
indicates that the ABS has a
malfunction that requires investigation.
Warning
If the ABS is not functioning, the brake
system will continue to function as a
non-ABS equipped brake system. Do
not continue to ride for longer than is
necessary with the warning light
illuminated. Contact an authorised
Triumph dealer as soon as possible to
have the fault checked and rectified. In
this situation braking too hard will
cause the wheels to lock resulting in
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.
Traction Control (TC) Indicator Light
The TC indicator light is used to
indicate that the traction control
system is active and is working to limit
rear wheel slip during periods of hard
acceleration or under wet or slippery
road conditions.
