Installation

Notes:

1.   Test to make sure the entire installation works properly before pulling cables through ceilings/

walls.

2.  The B121-000 has been designed for use with Tripp Lite P580-Series DisplayPort cables. To

ensure maximum distance and performance, it is recommended that you use Tripp Lite P580-

Connect the longer DisplayPort cable between the source and the

Source

 port on the

B121-000.

Note

: When transmitting a 1920 x 1080 (60Hz) signal, the DisplayPort cable connecting the

source to the B121-000 must be no longer than 150 ft. For distances over 100 ft., 24Awg cable

is required (Available from Tripp Lite as a custom order).

2

Connect the shorter DisplayPort cable between the monitor and the

Display

 port on the

B121-000.

Note

: The DisplayPort cable used to connect the monitor to the B121-000 must be no longer

than 16 ft. (5 m).

3

Connect the external power supply to the B121-000, and plug it into a Tripp Lite Surge

If  necessary,  use  the  equalization  control  to  adjust  the  video  image.  Next  to  the

equalization control is a switch labeled S / L, which stands for

Short

 and

Long

. When

adjusting  the  equalization,  if  you  go  through  each  setting  without  achieving  an
acceptable image, flip this switch to the other setting. This provides a new range of
equalization settings to go through until an acceptable image is displayed.

Note

: An improper Equalization setting can result in no image being displayed at all. Try each

setting until an acceptable image is displayed.
