Step 3: Open your HVAC system’s cover 

Open your HVAC system’s cover to reveal the control board.

We recommend that you take a photo of the wires connected to the HVAC control board. You may need 

to refer to this photo at a later stage.

Note:

The HVAC system contains high voltage circuitry and wires. Before you open your HVAC 

system’s cover, be sure to check that you have turned off the power for your HVAC system.
