Cable, constellation diagram
The screenshot shows the rating and
constellation diagram
of a 64 QAM DVB-C modulated transponder.
The UPM 1400 evaluates the signal parameters of a channel and displays them graphically using a constellation
diagram. Ideally, the device receives a noise-free and interference-free signal. In the diagram, this is shown by many
clearly defined points that form a circle.
If the device receives a bad signal, this has a corresponding effect on the display. The points of the 4 quadrants then
no longer group together in structured circles, but spread out..
With the
left / right
cursor keys you can switch between channels, the OK key opens a list for channel selection.
Explanation of the parameters:

Cable, packet control
With the packet monitoring function, all stored channels are measured in real time. By evaluating over a longer period
of time, for example, errors or phenomena can be highlighted that only occur sporadically..
Only channels / transponders already stored in the UPM 1400 are displayed. Before packet checking can be
performed, the DVB-C channels must be registered via a search.
