High Output Broadband Amplifier for CATV distribu#on networks in mul#-dwelling homes
and blocks
The func#onal parts of the amplifier as well as belonging the opera#ng and se]ng ele-
ments are implemented on one PCB completely. Thus you get the capability to configure
the op#mal gain characteris#cs in the immediate loca#on of installa#on and provisioning.
•
Selec#on of basic gain by Jumpers :
Downstream (DS) gain 41 or 33 dB by switch on/off of 8dB interstage a?anua#on,
Upstream (US) gain 32 or 26 dB by changing of gain in the pre-amplifier stage
•
Switch on a?enua#on (ATT) of 0/4/8/12 dB in return path input in case of very high
US level on input
•
Fine-tuning ATT of signal level and EQ of frequency response by Rotary switches in
steps of 1dB
•
Mode of return path selectable: ”ac#ve”, ”passive” or ”off”
•
Cable Simulator be ac#vated by plug in a common PAD module (1...10 dB)
•
GPV 150 DL: remote feeding only via RF input. There is not a pass through of AC/DC
to RF ouput
•
The amplifiers were developed and approved for mul#-service CATV networks
which need a high level return path amplifier for full load (DOCSIS 3.1) and low
noise US signals. Thus the amp meets Class D4.4 in KDG standard 1TS 140 ”volle
Last” of MSO the Kabel Deutschland AG for instance.
This User Guide is suitable for Technicians, Installers and other Educated and Authorized
Personnel who Setup, Repair and Maintain Cable Network Distribu#on Networks.
