SET-UP & ELECTRONICS
SET-UP:
Your new Traveler Guitar Hot Rod V2 will arrive in what we refer to as the “stowed position”. To prepare your guitar for play,
place arm-rest in playing position and tighten the thumb screw only finger tight. (Over-tightening can dent wood or damage
threads).
USING THE ELECTRONICS:
The Hot Rod V2 features a dual rail humbucker pickup with a coil-split switch. The coil-split switch allows the dual rail
humbucker to be split in half, offering a tone more like a single coil pickup. The standard 1/4” output jack can be used to plug
the guitar into an amplifier of your choice.
The built-in headphone amp powers headphones from the 1/8” output on the jackplate. To activate the headphone
amp, plug
into the headphone or 1/4” jack. To
cycle through different tones (Clean/Boost/Overdrive/Distortion),
push down on the tone
knob. Be sure to unplug all cables from your
guitar when not in use to save battery life.
USING THE AUX-IN:
The Speedster Hot Rod’s V2 electronics allow you to mix an auxiliary
signal
with the guitar’s signal through headphones or an amp. Plug your
mobile device into the 1/8” aux-in jack and adjust the volume on your
device to the desired
level. The mixed signal will come through the
headphones and 1/4” outputs.
