•
When the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the open position.
•
Once the engine is warmed up, slowly increase the engine speed to a medium setting, which should
result in the required performance while minimising the fuel consumption and excessive engine noise.
•
When the engine needs to be stopped, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
If the SuperReel sprayer is not going to be used within the next few hours, shut the system down as follows:
•
Set the engine throttle lever to the idle position.
•
Turn the fuel tap to OFF.
Clean-up and Decontamination
After use, the SuperReel sprayer unit must be thoroughly decontaminated inside and outside – including the
pump, hoses and spray gun – to avoid damage to crops from any harmful spray residues. Decontamination
also prevents sprayer corrosion and abrasion.
Cleaning the SuperReel sprayer should be undertaken at a carefully chosen site, away from any risk of
spillages draining into watercourses or into environmentally sensitive areas.
The recommended decontamination procedure is as follows:
WARNING: Suitable PPE must be worn by the operator when cleaning and
decontaminating the SuperReel sprayer. Follow the instructions provided with the
chemicals or the applicable Safety Data Sheet.
