Installing the Power Supply Module

Separating the IMC Bus for Large Systems

For large systems with heavier loads than the PM014 can power alone, the IMC bus can be
separated into sections that are sized for single power supply modules. Follow the recommended
method described below to separate the IMC bus. An alternative method is also described on

.

Note: The power supply module is not designed to supply power in parallel with other power

supplies.

Recommended method for separating the IMC bus

Note: This method preserves the power supply module warranty.

3. Perform lockout/tagout procedures for line voltage power to the cabinet.

4. Using two parallel DIN rails, position two power supply modules directly above or beneath one

another as shown in

5. Wire the two power supply modules together by using the IMC terminal blocks. Do not wire the

Vdc terminals.

Important:

To prevent power flow between modules, the Vdc terminals must not be wired.
