Manual Pre-Trip Inspection
Pre-trip inspections are an important part of a preventative maintenance
program designed to minimize operating problems and breakdowns.
Perform this pre-trip inspection before every trip.
IIm mp po orrtta an ntt:: Contact your nearest Thermo King Dealer immediately if
problems are found.
N No otte e:: Pretrip inspections are not intended to take the place of regular
maintenance inspections.
Before Starting the TriPac Unit
E En ng giin ne e:: Check engine oil level. Check coolant level if equipped with optional
closed loop cooling. Coolant should be visible in coolant tank sight glass.
B Be ellttss:: Verify the TriPac APU belts are in good condition and adjusted to the
proper tension. For more information about belt tension, see the
Specifications chapter.
E Elle eccttrriicca all:: Check the electrical connections to verify they are securely
fastened. Wires and terminals should be free of corrosion, cracks, and
moisture.
S Sttrru uccttu urra all:: Visually inspect the unit for leaks, loose or broken parts, and
other damage.
C Co oiillss:: Verify the condenser, evaporator, and pre-cooler coils are clean and
free of debris.
H He ea atte err:: Check exhaust pipe and intake tube.
G Ge en ne erra all:: Listen for unusual noises and vibrations or fluid leaks.
