Figure 90 - Searchlight Structure Inspection
(1) Ensure power is not connected to the searchlight.
(2) Inspect the front protection window (Figure 90 item 1) for signs of pitting or scratching.
(3) Inspect front case for impact and paint damage (item 2).
(4) Inspect the seams of the dynamic and static legs (item 3) for damage or separation.
(5) Check that the dynamic leg hatch ((item 4) is secure.
(6) Check that the fairing assembly (item 5) and seals (item 8) are securely installed.
(7) Inspect the dovetail assembly (item 6) for signs of cracking or deformation.
(8) Inspect the dovetail assembly electrical connectors (item 7) for signs of damage or corrosion.
(9) Check that the leg cap (item 9) is secure.
(10) Inspect the rear of the fairing (item 10) for correct fitting and security.
(11) Inspect the rear spun case (item 11) for signs of impact damage or corrosion.
(12) Inspect the rear of the lamp assembly (item 12) for signs of impact damage or corrosion.
(13) Reconnect power to the searchlight.
