WARNING AGAINST HAZARDOUS OPERATIONS
Never activate or disactivate the magnet lifter when thickness of the load doesn’t
correspond to the minimum values specified on the « practical tables for capacity
reduction » or on the signalling plate.
Never release the lever without accompany it up to its initial position.
Ensure the load is in a stable position before disactivating the magnet lifter.
Never lift more than one plate at a time. Take particular care when lifting thin
plates.
Never leave a load suspended.
Temperature of the load or/ and atmosphere must be between
–
20 and +80°C.
Never lift dangerous, explosive or radioactive loads.
Never lift loads which have non-attached charges on top.
Never exceed weights or min / max dimensions specified in paragraphs
« technical specifications ».
Never use a magnet lifter in aggressive, chemical or saline atmospheres.
Never lift a load installing the magnet lifter on the narrow or smallest side.
Never install the magnet lifter with its longitudinal side on transversal direction of
the load.
MATERIAL CONTROL AND CHECKING
Before each use
Read and respect all conditions given by the magnet instructions for use.
Visually inspect all parts of magnet lifter.
Carefully clean active poles (contact with the load) and if necessary, suppress
spotting out and flashes with a soft file. Never use the magnet lifter with faults on
active poles.
Check good conditions and functioning of the lever and of the locking device.
A unusual high effort for engaging the lever can signify a load with dimensions
(contact surface, thickness and / or steel type (stainless steel)) which are not
acceptable.
Check good functioning of the safety locking device after each magnet’s
activation : the safety pin device must quickly and easily return to its initial position.
Check correct functioning of its spring. Never use the magnet in case of problem
on the safety pin.
