OPERATING
HINTS
Before starting work clear the lawn of any
objects such as stones or sticks, that would
damage the Scarifier or be thrown out at
dangerously high speeds by the rotating
blades.
Set the operating height adjuster by
screwing the top adjuster knob up or down
so that the blades comb the grass without
touching the soil, then tighten the locking
knob.
THE BLADES MUST NOT BE
A L L O W E D TO T O U C H T H E
GROUND.
Mount the grassbag onto the Scarifier by
raising the ejection guard and sliding the
grassbag frame lugs into the locating slots
each side of the axle frame.
Always stop the engine and wait for the
rotating blades to stop before removing and
replacing the grassbag.
The
CAMON
Lawn Scarifier is designed
to allow light, air and water to the roots of
grass to keep it healthy. It does this by
removing thatch which is made up of
organic debris such as cut grass, leaves and
dead moss that has not decomposed.
STARTING THE
ENGINE
Check the engine oil level - top up with
10w/40 oil if necessary.
Never re-fuel when the engine is hot or
running.
Allow 1” air space in the tank.
Switch ignition to ‘ON’ position.
If the engine is cold, move the choke lever
to ‘ON’ position.
Turn the fuel tap to ‘ON’ position.
Hold the handlebar, place foot against rear
wheel.
Pull the recoil start handle gently until it is
engaged, then give the handle a strong pull
to start the engine.
When the engine has started, move the
choke lever to ‘OFF’ position.
Check fuel level.
Only use unleaded petrol from a clean
container.
