Mains Switch
Once you have checked that you are connecting the correct supply voltage to the unit it can be powered up by
moving the mains switch to its ‘Power On’ position
Effects Send/Return
The EFFECTS SEND/RETURN facility is a serial effects loop and is situated after the EQ controls but before the
internal reverb and shape facility.
These sockets are used for patching other effects units into the system. The EFFECTS SEND socket can also be
used to take a Post EQ but Pre Effects signal to another system.
Line Out
This is used for connection to either a POWER CUBE for further sound reinforcement or to another amplifier
system.
When connected to a POWER CUBE the level control on each separate CUBE sets its own level of volume. All
effects ( including any external effects ) will also come out of the POWER CUBE.
D.I.
The D.I. XLR socket is a balanced output for direct connection to a low impedance microphone input on a
mixing console. This can be used either for recording purposes or for connection to a PA system.
The D.I. socket is Post EQ and also includes all facilities on the ACOUSTIC CUBE i.e. the NOTCH, the SHAPE,
the REVERB and any external effects used.
Microphone Stand Mounting
Both the ACOUSTIC CUBE and the POWER CUBE are fitted with an adaptor in the base of the unit to allow
them to be mounted to the top of a standard microphone stand.
This is very useful for providing ear level monitoring of your instrument and also it lifts the amplifier above the
level of the instrument which further reduces the possibility of acoustic feedback occurring.
With an ACOUSTIC CUBE mounted on a mic stand one side of you and a POWER CUBE ( linked to the
ACOUSTIC CUBE ) on the other side of you a very substantial and very satisfying sound can be achieved.
Output Stage
Both the ACOUSTIC CUBE and the POWER CUBE use a 35 watt power stage employing TRACE ELLIOT’s now
well known DYNAMIC CORRECTION system to achieve a crystal clear and very precise sound from the single
internal 5” speaker.
The Enclosure
The case is a 180mm square cube constructed from aluminium to form a sealed enclosure that also acts as
the heat sink for the unit.
This produces an extremely compact system ideal for the single acoustic musician and also ideal as a personal
monitor system for acoustic musicians playing in a group situation.
