SATA

The following SATA options are possible on the MBLX2160A:

•

2 × SATA M.2

•

1 × SATA for 2.5” SSD

As described in chapter 3.5.1, SATA is available at SerDes #2 with muxing 8.
The M.2 slots with B-Key on the MBLX2160A support M.2 sizes 2242 and 2280. The default mounting is for type 2280.
The third SATA interface on X18 is designed for a standard 2.5" SSD. The pinout and the connectors are standard compliant.
The implementation on the MBLX2160A is as shown in the following illustration:
