PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The PA3-1AC model is a mobile VHF high band RF power amplifier intended for use in the mobile
applications. This amplifier can deliver RF power from 10 to 45 W when driven with 1 to 5W and it will
cover the frequency range from 150 - 174 MHz. The mobile amplifier is designed to be installed in the
interior of a car or in the trunk. The amplifier’s dimensions are: 9.5"L x 3.0"H x 4.5" W
(see figure 1) and the weight is 4 lbs.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
The general specifications for the PA3-1AC amplifier are shown in this section.

OPERATING VOLTAGE:
Nominal DC operating voltage is 13.8VDC and the specifications are
given at this voltage. However, the minimum DC operating voltage is 11 Volts and the maximum DC
operating voltage is 15 Volts as measured at the VDC input connector. Reduced DC input voltage will
result in lower output power and efficiency.
