Smooth Soup Function
The Smooth Soup function creates smooth tasty
soups in under 23 minutes.
1. First, add water to the jug, once again
staying between the min and max fill lines.
2. Add the food into the jug. When using fruit,
ensure any thick skins are peeled and all
fruit is cored. Cut into small pieces.
3. Fit the serving jug into place, and select the
Smooth Soup button on the control panel.
4. The Soup Maker will then start to heat
and blend 3 times, before finishing with a
beeping noise.
Simmer/Boil Function
The Simmer/Boil function allows you to boil water
or heat up soup. Simply fill the serving jug above
the minimum water level line, and press simmer/
boil.
Pulse Function
The versatile pulse function doesn’t only allow
you to perfect soup to your preferred taste, it can
also be used for a variety of different things such
as smoothies, coulées and more.
1. Use the Pulse function to ensure your soup
is blended to the perfect consistency for
you. The function also works to create cold
soups like gazpacho.
2. The manual Pulse function allows you to
pulse your food in quick short bursts or for
as long as you need. Simply press and hold
the button on control panel. Release the
button to stop the pulse function.
Auto Clean
Add water with a small amount of washing up
liquid to the jug. Ensure you do not exceed the
max fill line. Hold down the pulse function to
clean.
Note:
Do not use an excess amount of washing
up liquid.
Tips for getting the most out of your Soup
Maker:
•
Prepare as many of your ingredients as
possible in advance.
•
Add a little olive or vegetable oil and water
to the bottom of the jug before adding
ingredients that are high in starch or sugar,
to avoid them burning to the bottom of the
jug.
•
Once you’ve added all the ingredients to the
jug, stir with a wooden spoon before turning
the soup maker on.
•
Make a full batch of soup at a time and
freeze your leftovers to enjoy later in the
week. When freezing soup, leave it to chill
overnight in the fridge before putting it into
the freezer.
•
Layer softer, lighter ingredients like lentils
or chopped tomatoes on top of heavier
ingredients such as potato. This stops the
lighter ingredients from being pressed down
into the bottom of the jug and the blades
too much.
•
If your soup seems too thin, lower the
amount of liquid you are adding. Reducing
the liquid will give you thicker soup.
•
Never fill the soup maker above the
maximum fill line and always make sure it
isn’t under the minimum fill line either. The
Tower Glass Soup Maker is as easy to use
as a kettle, and in this instance it abides by
the same rules.
•
Do not use an excess amount of washing
up liquid when using the self-clean function.
A few drops will do.
