Put the inner pot into the cooker. Turn it left and right to ensure it makes good contact
with the heating plate, which is at the bottom of the outer pot. Refer to the figure
above.

Safely close the lid and select your desired settings. Please refer to the appropriate
sections for closing the lid and selecting settings and functions.
Tip:
Before putting the inner pot into the cooker, please remove any dirt and water from the
external side of the inner pot and internal side of the external pot.
Using The Lid’s Exhaust Valve To Release Steam/Pressure:

When using the Express Pot, turn the exhaust valve to the sealing position to maintain
the pressure and steam.
Note:
This enables the Express Pot be in a sealed state. See the figure below.

To release steam and pressure use the manual exhaust. Turn the exhaust valve handle to
the exhaust position. The appliance will then stay in an exhaust state.
CAUTION! DO NOT
keep your hands or face above the exhaust opening.

Before using the exhaust valve, make sure the float valve is in the down or dropped
position.
Note:
Before heating, the floater valve is usually down. Please see the figure below.
Tips:
•
Exhaust valve: Pull out the exhaust valve from the lid. Clean the internal side of the
exhaust valve.
•
Clean the exhaust valve and float valve of the lid with brush and cloth at least once a
month.
