Installing the Batteries
To install the batteries into each microphone, simply unscrew the bottom
of the microphone, and insert a 9V battery into the opening, being careful
to line up the poles of the battery appropriately, and then pushing it in
until it snaps into place. Then, screw the bottom of the microphone back
on. TouchTunes recommends using Energizer
®
batteries with these
microphones.
Using the Wireless Microphones
Before they can be used, each microphone must be turned on, using the
single switch along the side of the microphone. If the battery was installed
properly and still has enough power left, the red light near the switch will
flash once.
Installing the Wireless Microphone Receiver
Before proceeding, turn off the main power to Virtuo using the rocker
switch on the power bar:
1. Consider the following caveats, then determine where you will be
placing the wireless microphone receiver.
•
The receiver should be placed in a location where patrons will not
be able to access it.
•
The Karaoke kit contains a 15-foot cat-5 Ethernet cable for
connecting the Wireless Microphone Receiver to Virtuo.
•
The wireless microphone receiver does not require an additional
power source, as power is supplied over the ethernet cable.
•
There should be no obstructions between the wireless
microphone receiver and where the performers will be positioned
when singing.
•
Although unlikely, the location may need to adjust the gain on the
wireless microphone receiver.
2. After you select a location for the receiver, connect it to the Virtuo
using the 15-foot Cat-5 Ethernet cable (included with your original TouchTunes Karaoke Kit.) The cable connects to
Virtuo’s I/O board in the port labeled
Mic 1
