Working with Tone Curves

Tone curves adjust the colors produced by the printer. You can select, add, edit, and delete tone curves.

Selecting Tone Curves

Select the tone curve you need to match a required color.

To select a tone curve:

On the Configuration hub, click the Color Management tab and find the Tone Curves pod.

Select the tone curve you want.

Click

, the select icon.

Click [[C

Adding Tone Curves

Add a tone curve when you need a new tone curve to match required colors.

To add a tone curve:

On the Configuration hub, click the Color Management tab and find the Tone Curves pod.

If you want to copy an existing tone curve, select that tone curve.

Click

, the add icon.

In Tone Curves, create the new tone curve.

Do either of these:

• Click [[SSlliid

deerrss]]. Either type numeric values in the entry fields or move the sliders left or right.

• Click [[C

dee]] displays a graphic view of a curve for each color. Drag the adjustment

points to change the curve.

These fields contain values at X-axis values at intervals of 10%, starting at 10% and ending
at 100%. Type values in these fields or use the up and down arrows to change the
numbers.

To view the result of applying the new tone curve to a sample image, click [[N

To view the result of applying individual color planes to the sample image, click [[C
