To turn "ON" the unit, press ON/STANDBY .
Press TV/VCR to select TV/VCR mode.
Load a cassette tape with the
erase prevention tab intact.

Your unit is equipped with VIDEO Plus+. This
“automatic” system greatly simplifies timer
programming because you do not have to enter the
usual information such as date, channel, start and
end times. By keying in the PlusCode for the TV
programme you wish to record (listed in most TV
guides) all the relevant information is set for you.
VIDEO Plus+ recordings allow you to easily
program your unit so that it will record at preset
times. The built in timer allows unattended
recording of up to 8 programmes within 1 month.

The VIDEO Plus+ system is manufactured under
license from Gemstar Development Corporation.
Press VIDEO Plus+/PROG .
The VIDEO Plus+ screen will
appear on the TV screen.
Enter the PlusCode for the TV
programme you wish to record
using the
number buttons (0-9) .

Press ENTER . If an incorrect
number is entered the word
ERROR will be displayed and you
will have to re-enter the correct
number. The VIDEO Plus+ screen
on the TV will show the date, start
and end times for your recording. If
you want to change the setting,
press or to select the item and press or to
change to the desired setting.

Press to select the SPEED.
Press or to select either
standard (SP) or Long (LP) play.
Press to confirm the speed.
Press or to select PDC ON
or OFF (please see the explanation
of PDC at the step 5 of page 23).

When you have finished setting your
recording press
ENTER to complete
your programming. You can confirm
your programming. If you wish to set
further VIDEO Plus+ recordings,
press the VIDEO Plus+/PROG.
button three times to return to the
VIDEO Plus+ screen and repeat stages 3-6.
Press
MENU / SETUP twice to remove the display.

Press two TIMER REC to set your
timer recording. Your unit will go
into timer record mode.
The TIMER REC indicator will light
on the front of the unit.
If you do not put your unit into timer
record mode your recording will not take place.
Your TIMER RECORDING is now set.
At the set time your unit will record your programme then go
back into timer record mode.
