Connections
1 Be sure to turn off the DVD player then remove
the battery pack from the player.
(Note: Charging the battery pack with the vehicle
adapter may cause smoke, fire or electrical shock
to human body. ALWAYS remove the battery pack
before using the vehicle adapter.)
2 Turn on the vehicle engine so that the cigarette
lighter socket or power port is powered. In some
vehicles the cigarette lighter socket or power port
is powered even when the vehicle’s engine is not
running. It is important that the vehicle owner’s
manual be consulted.
3 Insert the plug of the adapter into the cigarette
lighter socket or power port fully.
4 Insert the pin plug of the adapter into the DC IN
12V jack of the DVD player.
5 Turn on the DVD player.
6 When disconnecting the DVD player, first turn off
the DVD player, then remove the adapter pin plug
from the DVD player and then the power plug
from the cigarette lighter socket or power port.
7 Before turning off the vehicle engine or leaving
the vehicle, be sure to turn off the player then
remove the adapter pin plug from the DVD player.

Notes
• Before turning on the vehicle engine, remove the power plug
of the adapter from the cigarette lighter socket or power port.
Neglecting this may cause malfunction of the DVD player.
• If the cigarette lighter socket or power port is dirty, be sure
to clean it before connecting the power plug of the adapter.
Dusts or stains of the cigarette lighter socket or power port
may heat the connected plug while operating, and may
damage the adapter.
• Do not leave the adapter in an unoccupied vehicle to avoid
exposing it to unusually high ambient temperatures.
• Before turning off the vehicle engine, first turn off the DVD
player then remove the plug of the adapter from the cigarette
lighter socket or power port. Turning off the vehicle engine
while the DVD player is powered via the adapter may cause
damage to the DVD player.
• When the DVD player is not in use be sure to remove the
adapter power plug from the cigarette lighter socket or power
port and the pin plug from the DVD player.
