Operation
If the DVD drive is operated in a horizontal position, both 8-cm and 12-cm CDs or DVDs may be
used. If the drive is operated in a vertical position, only 12-cm diameter CDs or DVDs may be used.
Use only high-quality CDs and DVDs.

The DVD drive does not support ADPCM mode (simultaneous playing of audio data and
use of graphics decoding functions). This function must be made available by the host
system.
Handling CDs and DVDs

Avoid touching the surface of a CD/DVD. Handle CDs/DVDs only by their edges!
Always store CDs/DVDs in their cases. Thus you avoid dust contamination, scratches,
bending or other damage.
Protect your CDs/DVDs from dust and direct sunlight.
Avoid storing a CD/DVD in areas subject to high temperatures or humidity.
Ensure the DVD drive is not exposed to major vibration.
Open the drive tray only if you want to load or remove a CD/DVD.
Never place any objects on the open tray, and do not press the tray down when it is open.
When using CDs of inferior quality, vibrations can result in read errors. To avoid vibrations
or disturbing noises when using CDs of inferior quality, reduce the speed by pressing and
holding down the insert/remove button for at least 2 seconds. Opening and shutting the
drive tray resets the limitation of the rotation speed.
