2 Troubleshooting Procedures

Satellite L500D / Pro L500D Maintenance Manual

43

Procedure 1

Diagnostic test

Run the functioning Program on Windows model or DOS model, which will display the test
result.

If tests and diagnostics result abnormal go to Procedure 2. If an error is not located, the button
functioning is properly.

Procedure 2

Replacement check

Disassemble the computer following the steps described in Chapter 4,

Replacement

Procedures

, and perform the following checks.

Check 1

Make sure that Button test operation is correct, go to Check 2.

Check 2

Make sure that the FFC of the button is assemble OK, go to Check 3

Check 3

The button may be damaged. Replace it with a new one following the
instructions in Chapter 4.
