Procedure 4

Replacement Check

The USB FDD or USB FDD cable may be defective or damaged. Replace it with a new one.
If the USB FDD is still not functioning properly, perform the following.

If USB port 0 does not work properly, perform check 1.

If USB port 6 does not work properly, perform check 3.

If eSATA/USB port 4 does not work properly, perform check 5.

Check 1

USB board may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the steps in
Chapter 4,

Replacement Procedures

. If the problem still occurs, perform Check 2.

Check 2

USB board FFC may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the steps in
Chapter 4,

Replacement Procedures

. If the problem still occurs, perform Check 5.

Check 3

Jack board may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the steps in
