This command enables access to all SMART capabilities of the drive. Prior to receipt of this command,
Parameters for drive failure prediction are neither monitored nor saved by the drive. The state of SMART
(either enabled or disabled) will be preserved by the drive across power cycles. Once enabled, the receipt
of subsequent SMART ENABLE OPERATIONS commands don’t affect any of the parameters for drive
failure prediction.
Upon receipt of this command from the host, the drive sets BSY, enables SMART capabilities and
functions, clears BSY and asserts INTRQ.
