What to do
Insulation
Resistance
Measurement
Resistance from
main circuit to
ground
Measure insulation
resistance between
phases, between
electrodes, and
between circuits and
ground. Megger test
at 1000V.
Resistance should be
50M
Ω
or greater.
If the insulation
resistance is low, wipe
off the vacuum
interrupter and other
insulation surfaces
with a clean dry cloth
and then repeat the
test. If necessary,
replace faulty parts.
Resistance from
control circuits to
ground
Measure insulation
resistance between
circuits and ground.
Megger test at 500V.
Resistance should be
1M
Ω
or greater.
Dielectric
Strength
Measure main
circuit
Measure dielectric
strength between
phases and between
circuits and ground.
14kV AC or 19.8kV DC
for 1 minute
If breakdown occurs,
contact Toshiba.
Open/Close
Operation
----
Perform open/close
operation by electric
operation test to
confirm the correct
operation.
----
If not normal, check
and repair. If
necessary, replace
faulty parts.
