Please note that when you power on a camera with this image
file unprotected, it is necessary to set it to protected and then
to unprotected again in order to enable the wireless LAN
functionality.
Wireless LAN startup image
You can change the wireless LAN startup image.
If you want to change the photo to another image file, choose
Select
from file
, click
Browse
, and then Open the image file.
The selected image file name is displayed in the file name field.
If you want to reset to the default image, select
Default image
.
Click
Apply
to change the “Current set Image” to the selected image
file.

The following image file is stored on the FlashAir III wireless
SD™ Memory Card as the default wireless LAN startup image.

If you delete the image file that is set as the wireless LAN
startup image, you cannot enable the wireless LAN
functionality.

When not using the wireless LAN functionality, change the
Wireless LAN startup mode to
Manual startup mode
.
Using a digital still camera
The following is an example of the procedure used to set the wireless
LAN startup image file to protected or unprotected on a digital still
camera.
The name and the operation of the write-protection menu varies
depending on the digital still camera you are using.
For details, refer to your camera’s user’s manual.

Set the digital still camera to play/display mode, and display
the wireless LAN startup image you have previously chosen.

Press the digital still camera’s menu button and scroll to the
Protect menu.

Set the wireless LAN startup image file to protected or
unprotected.
