that the television recognises connected
equipment. See page 6 for a clear view of the
back connection recommendations.
This specifies the type of signal going into SCART 2
(
EXT2
) on the back of the television. Please refer to the
manufacturers instructions for the connected equipment.
From the
Set up
menu select
EXT2 input
and with

select either
AV
or
S-VIDEO
as the required
input
.
Most VCRs and decoders send a signal through the
SCART lead to switch the television to the correct
Input
socket. Alternatively press the external source selection
button
B
until the picture from connected equipment is
shown.
An
S
in the display e.g.
EXT2S
, indicates the input is set
for an S-Video signal.
Press

To return to television mode press

again or
one of the numbered buttons.
Use the Input Selection if the television does not switch
over automatically.

The timer, time display,
input selection and AV connections
The time display facility allows the current time to be seen
on the television screen.

whilst watching a normal television
broadcast to see a time display from the broadcaster. It
will remain on screen for about 5 seconds.
The television can be set to turn itself
OFF
after a
certain time.
