Programming Example 3:
Wait-Until is Enabled and Auto-Off is Enabled
Figure A3:
Global Wait-Until is “yes” and Auto-off is “yes”
In both Programming Examples 1 and 2, the time to reach the set point temperature
was included in the step countdown timer value. In situations where the time at the set
point temperature is important, the global MENU: Pgm Options “Timer Waits for Pl
Temp = SP: yes” option causes the unit to wait until the plate temperature is equal to
the new set point temperature before the timer begins to decrement the step timer
value. The behavior is illustrated in Figure A3 above where the step timer simply “waits”
during the temperature change periods before starting to decrement. This example is
the same as Programming Example 2 with the Program Options wait-until feature
enabled. It should be obvious that enabling the wait-until global setting will result in an
increase in the total time to complete an entire sequence since the time to get to
temperature is no longer included in the programmed times for each step.
NOTE:
The setting for “Timer waits for Pl Tem = SP” in the Pgm Options menu is global
meaning that if it is set to “yes”, all steps in a running program will wait until the step set
point is reached before the timer decrements and vice versa. It is not possible to
program a sequence where some steps are “wait until” and some are not.
