Recycling the Clippings
Your machine comes from the factory ready to recycle the grass and leaf clippings back into the lawn.
If the side-discharge chute is on the machine, remove it and lock the side-discharge deflector; refer to Removing
the Side-Discharge Chute (page 18) before recycling the clippings.
Important:
Ensure that the rear plug is locked in place. To lock the plug, raise the rear deflector (A
of Figure 16 ), firmly push the plug in until it snaps into place behind the tabs, and rotate the lever on
the plug to the left (B of Figure 16 ).

Note:
To unlock the rear plug, rotate the lever on the plug to the right ( Figure 17 ).
